Winery Valdubón

D.O. Ribera del Duero

A Ribera del Duero with its own identity

Founded in 1997, Bodegas Valdubón was born with a clear mission: to craft wines that reflect the strength, elegance, and identity of the Ribera del Duero region.

Located on the outskirts of Milagros (Burgos), beside the Riaza River and very close to Aranda de Duero, the winery sits in a region where landscape, climate, and winemaking tradition combine to produce wines with character.

Here, the continental Mediterranean climate, with its long, cold winters, dry summers, and significant temperature variations between day and night, allows for the slow ripening of the Tempranillo grapes, resulting in thicker skins and contributing structure, depth, and character to the wine.

The origin of a name tied to the territory

The name Valdubón refers to the Ubón Valley, a historic enclave in the Ribera del Duero region near Aranda de Duero.

A name that evokes landscape, tradition, and a sense of belonging to a territory where wine has been part of the cultural identity for centuries.

From its beginnings, the winery has sought to capture that essence in every bottle, combining vineyard knowledge with a contemporary approach to winemaking.

Vineyards that speak of the place

The Valdubón vineyards are spread across various municipalities in the Ribera del Duero region, in areas such as Roa, Rábano, Quintanamanvirgo, Fuentelcésped, and Pardilla. These plots are characterized by predominantly red clay and bedrock soils, low in organic matter, which fosters the vine’s natural balance and the production of concentrated and well-balanced grapes.

The combination of altitude, continental climate, and diverse soils results in wines that combine intensity and depth, ripe and expressive fruit, and an elegant structure. An authentic interpretation of the Ribera del Duero character.

Wines with their own identity

Valdubón’s philosophy is expressed in a collection of wines that explore different interpretations of the terroir.

From the balanced fruit and oak of Valdubón Roble, to more complex and prestigious wines like Honoris de Valdubón or Valdubón X, crafted from a careful selection of vineyards and plots.

Each wine reflects the pursuit of harmony between structure, elegance, and terroir expression, resulting in wines with personality and aging potential.
