A wine-growing paradise at the foot of the Andes
Nestled between the Tupungato and Tupungatito volcanoes in Gualtallary lies one of Argentina’s great terroirs. In this unique enclave, at the foot of the Andes Mountains, the Finca Ferrer project was born in 2003 with the aim of crafting wines that express the authenticity of this exceptional place.
The vineyard and winery work together result in wines of great personality, where intensity and elegance coexist in perfect harmony.
A unique terroir
Finca Ferrer is located in the prestigious Gualtallary region of Tupungato, one of the most renowned areas of the Uco Valley in Mendoza, Argentina.
The estate comprises 317 hectares situated at over 1,300 meters above sea level, where varieties such as Malbec, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Tempranillo, Chardonnay, and Torrontés are cultivated.
The vineyards grow on sandy, stony soil with a pronounced calcareous base and very low organic matter content. This profile, combined with excellent drainage, the area’s characteristic winds, high solar radiation, and a temperature range of approximately 16°C, fosters balanced vine development and exceptional health. The result is grapes of extraordinary concentration, great aromatic intensity, and a distinctive character, faithfully reflecting the unique character of Gualtallary.
1.310 character meters
At an altitude of 1,310 meters, the 1310 wines are born, a collection of very limited productions made exclusively from carefully selected single-block plots. The intense mountain sun, the crystal-clear water from the Andean snowmelt, and the significant temperature variations favor a slow ripening process that imparts freshness, concentration, and great aromatic complexity.
The portfolio is completed by the Acordeón wines and the Finca Ferrer range of single-varietal wines.
