Cavas Hill’s Col-lecció Privada 2017 cava has been recognized with 96 points and a Gold Medal at the 19th edition of the prestigious Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA), the world’s largest wine competition. The Cavas Hill Panot Gaudí Reserva Brut obtained 93 points and a Silver Medal; and the Cavas Hill Panot Gaudí Coral, 89 points and a Bronze Medal.

The Col-lecció Privada is a Brut Nature style cava aged for more than 48 months and made with Xarel-lo and Parellada. It is only produced in vintages classified as “excellent” and in a limited edition of 3,000 bottles. It is an elegant, very balanced and creamy sparkling wine. The aromas of aging stand out over toasted backgrounds, notes of baked apple and cinnamon. A gastronomic cava to accompany every occasion.

The Cavas Hill Panot Gaudí Reserva Brut is a cava with more than 24 months of aging, expressive, intense and well balanced, elaborated with the traditional coupage of the Panot Gaudí cavas (Xarel-lo, Chardonnay, Macabeo and Parellada).

The Cavas Hill Panot Gaudí Coral is a Provençal pearl-colored cava, aromatic, with fragrant notes of red and tropical fruit. Medium-aged cava made from Xarel-lo, Chardonnay, Macabeo, Parellada and Grenache varieties.

250 judges and over 18,000 wines tasted

The Decanter World Wine Awards (DWWA) have the best wine experts from around the world as judges and are internationally trusted for their rigorous judging process. As part of this process, nearly 250 expert judges, including 41 Masters of Wine and 13 Master Sommeliers, have evaluated more than 18,000 wines from 54 countries, a record number of wines tasted.

The scale used to score the wines is 100 points and the categories are: Bronze, 86 to 89 points, Silver, 90 to 94, and Gold, 95 to 100 points.
