Solar Viejo Reserva is a clear expression of the power and depth that a Rioja wine can offer.
A blend of Tempranillo and Graciano grapes, aged for at least 12 months in French and American oak barrels, followed by a long period of bottle ageing.
Colour: bright garnet with medium-high intensity.
To fully express its great aromatic complexity, it requires some aeration. Rich in bakery notes, yeast, spices and toasted aromas derived from oak ageing. Intense aromas of black fruit preserves are very present, while subtle floral notes contributed by the Graciano variety add further complexity.
On the palate, it is a very flavourful, powerful and elegant wine. With velvety tannins and good volume, flavours of cocoa and coffee stand out, originating from its barrel ageing. Long and intense finish.
