Bodegas Valdubón is moving towards sustainable mobility with the installation of new charging points for electric vehicles

Bodegas Valdubón has taken a further step in its commitment to environmental sustainability with the launch of a new project to install electric vehicle charging points at its facilities. This initiative, co-financed by the European Union through the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan – Next Generation EU, forms part of the company’s commitment to a more environmentally respectful management model aligned with European climate objectives.

Project Description

The project consists of the installation of an electric vehicle charging point within the premises of Bodegas Valdubón’s facilities. The installed infrastructure is made up of a charger with two simultaneous charging outlets of 11 kW each, intended for the private use of the winery’s staff and visitors.

The installation has been carried out in compliance with the technical standards required by current regulations on charging infrastructure, thereby guaranteeing the safety, reliability and efficiency of the service. With this action, Bodegas Valdubón responds to a growing demand from employees and customers who already use electric vehicles as their regular means of transport, and anticipates a trend that will continue to grow in the coming years as a result of the progressive electrification of the vehicle fleet.

The location of the charging point within the winery’s facilities allows this service to be offered in a convenient and accessible manner, integrating it naturally into the company’s daily operations.

Objectives and Results

The central objective of this action is to contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions associated with transport, encouraging the use of electric vehicles as a sustainable alternative to combustion vehicles. In this regard, the installation of charging points in private business environments is one of the most effective measures for driving the transition towards cleaner and more efficient mobility.

Among the expected results of this initiative are: the availability of two new simultaneous charging points at the winery’s facilities, the reduction of the carbon footprint associated with commuting to the workplace, and the promotion of a culture of sustainable mobility among employees, suppliers and visitors of Bodegas Valdubón.

Furthermore, this action helps to position Bodegas Valdubón as a company committed to the energy transition and the values of environmental responsibility, in line with the increasingly present demands within the agri-food and wine sector at a European level.

Financial Support from the European Union

This action has received financial support from the European Union through the Programme of Incentives for Efficient and Sustainable Mobility (MOVES III). The aim of this programme is to contribute to the “decarbonisation” of the transport sector by promoting the electrification of mobility, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan financed by the European Union – Next Generation EU (PRTR-NG).

The Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan is the instrument through which Spain channels the European Next Generation EU funds, aimed at driving economic recovery following the pandemic and accelerating the country’s green and digital transition. Within this plan, the MOVES III Programme constitutes one of the most relevant lines of action in the field of sustainable mobility, offering direct aid to companies and individuals for the acquisition of electric vehicles and the installation of charging infrastructure.

Bodegas Valdubón is grateful for the support received from the public administrations and the European Union, which has made the execution of this project possible, and reaffirms its commitment to continuing to advance the integration of sustainability criteria in all areas of its activity.
