VALDUBÓN VERDEJO ROBLE

Description

This wine is made with 100% Verdejo grapes from vineyards over 25 years old. The 75% is fermented in first- and second-use French oak barrels, and complemented with six months of ageing in these same barrels. The other 25% is made in stainless steel tanks with at least four months of ageing on lees.

TASTING NOTES

On the eye, it appears clean and bright, with a pale yellow tone accompanied by greenish hints that denote freshness. On the nose, it shows notable complexity: floral aromas stand out —particularly white flowers—, along with hints of fennel and a subtle anise undertone. All of this intertwines with delicate notes of fine pastry and soft spices, the result of its time in barrel. On the palate it is broad and with an enveloping texture. Ripe white fruit marks the flavour profile, balanced by a well-integrated acidity that provides liveliness. The finish is persistent, elegantly revealing the wood nuances, which are expressed progressively without dominating the whole.
