Valdubón projects its identity into a new era of precision and character

Bodegas Valdubón, part of the family-owned Ferrer Wines group, chaired by Pedro Ferrer Noguer, has completed a major technical renovation with an investment of approximately €2.3 million, marking the start of a new chapter in its journey within the Ribera del Duero region.

The renovation does not respond to a significant increase in volume, but rather to a strategic decision aimed at perfecting enological quality and precision at every stage of the winemaking process. The winery has optimized grape reception and selection, particularly for manual harvesting, added new fermentation and aging rooms, and reinforced temperature control in fermentations, barrels, and bottle storage. The investment includes a new bottling line with greater capacity and efficiency, six new 8,000-liter tanks for more segmented vinifications by selected plots, advanced industrial climate control systems, and CO₂ management automation. Digitalization and enhanced temperature control and traceability will also increase precision and consistency in winemaking.

The renovation incorporates energy efficiency and sustainability criteria, with high-efficiency machinery, improved thermal insulation, LED lighting, optimized heating and cooling systems, a new water treatment plant, and construction solutions that reduce environmental impact. The winery also maintains its current solar panel surface and continues to monitor its carbon footprint.

This new chapter will culminate with the launch of the new vintages of Valdubón Diez and Honoris de Valdubón, two of its most iconic wines. These releases symbolize a change in character and an evolution in the house style, the result of more than four years of work alongside Xavier Ausás, one of the leading figures in Spanish winemaking. Throughout the year, the winery will unveil new projects and releases that will reinforce this transformative phase and consolidate its renewed vision for the future. With this investment, Bodegas Valdubón strengthens its positioning as a winery that combines tradition, technical rigor, and qualitative ambition, projecting its identity into a new dimension of excellence.
